OSO is a Tokyo-based, architecture and design office with an international perspective. The office was established in 2017 by two partners - Esteban Ochogavia and Michael Sypkens - who formerly worked together at Kengo Kuma and Associates. Both Esteban and Michael have mixed cultural backgrounds and have worked in various offices in Europe and Asia.

OSO’s current work involves both domestic and international projects ranging from office towers and residential developments to luxury retail. Deloitte Summit, a 25-storey office tower in central Vancouver, is the largest project completed by OSO. Yohji Yamamoto, a Japanese fashion designer known for his avant-garde work, is a client as well as a close collaborator.

OSO’s approach to architecture and interior design is complementary as the aim is to create seamless aesthetic experiences. The designs are therefore characterized by strong spatial concepts that convey ideas through feelings.
